Challah for Hunger brings people together to bake a difference through the baking and selling of challah. The money we raise from selling our challah goes to charities in the UK and abroad, supporting the fight against poverty and hunger worldwide. We hold regular bakes around the London area for people of all baking abilities and experiences -all you need are clean hands and the will power not to snack on the ingredients as you bake! Have a look at this fabulous article on Challah for Hunger London for a look at how we got started.

If you would like to roll up your sleeves and bake a difference, email us at London@challahforhunger.org or check out our upcoming bakes page and just turn up! You can also sign up to our mailing list to stay on top of the latest bakes and events.

We would love to hear from you.

  1. First of all I would like to say excellent blog!
I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you
do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and
clear your head prior to writing. I have had a tough time clearing my thoughts
in getting my ideas out. I do take pleasure in writing but it just
seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin.
    Any suggestions or hints? Thanks!

    • Hi,

Thanks for your note. I would always advise making a plan first. I use mind maps, and then write my key sentences out as part of the mind map. Then you can order them and flesh everything out. Alternatively, just start writing and, once you do, do not stop. Just keep going, even if it reads like Ulysses gone wrong. Editing is a great thing.

      Happy writing!
